What do you do when your predictable life goes spiraling out of control? When your supposed childhood friend commits the most brutal betrayal, completely gutting you, destroying the life you thought you were meant to have? You make dangerous, careless decisions with your best friend, completely molding yourself into someone you’re not. I thought clubs, alcohol, and promiscuity would numb my pain, sculpt me into the person I should be; strong, confident, alive…
I was wrong.
So now I’m forced to go back home, where the only opportunity to throw my life back on track is located. I never wanted my parent’s wealth or notability, but I’m afraid if I don’t take the flight from Florida to Grand Rapids, I’m going to drown.
But instead of drowning in my own insecurities, I’m being consumed by my boss, Tyler Conklin. His secrets are devouring me, along with his mystery and charming grin. He wants me, his advancements are clear; but so are his exertions to keep me his biggest secret of all.
I’m not sure if I can tolerate being his covert lover, especially when he has so many secrets of his own.

The strong wealthy handsome young guy always catches our interes

The strong wealthy handsome young guy always catches our interest but money and looks aren't what they're cracked up to be. Everyone has a haunted past and some just carry with them everyday. Becca Stine came from money and despised what it did to her family. She became an architect and wanted to make a name for herself on her own without her dad's influence. Trying to get over a terrible ending to a long relationship was another reason she wanted independence. Tyler Conklin also grew up with a silver spoon and a controlling overbearing father. Jealousy runs wild in his family and they feed off each other. He has never had a real relationship with a woman or a loving experience. Becca and Tyler have both suffered different kinds of abuse that effect the way they interact with friends and partners. Working together, fighting for each other, is the only way for them to overcome this abuse and grow. This was a great story with characters that could easily build on to spin off series with Jamie or the other Conklin brothers. This story ends the way we want but her issues are unresolved and she needs to address those that have made her a doormat.

It is not very often that you, open a book and get pulled inside of it. This book was one of those book. I really enjoyed this book and it was a quick read, though it was a quick read it left me wanting more. I love the story of Becca and Tyler.

Becca was a real lady with real problems. I love books with a human heroine. There are so many times, when heroines are darn near perfect. They are independent confident take no nonsense. Not saying that is bad, but at times it is unrealistic. It takes talent to be able to write a book and have the main character have quirks and insecurities without having them come off as annoying. Becca was not annoying at all, I felt as if I was just one of her friends, I found her so easy relate to.

Then we have Tyler, oh Tyler *swoon* what a fine specimen of a man, he of course has his own issues and secrets but really you can't help but melt over Tyler.. He is in my opinion a typical man, just when you get to a point of seriously disliking him he completely redeems himself. I don't want to go into many details of the book because then you won't want to buy it and you clearly should or you will be missing out! This book left me wanting more. I was given a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Let me start by why did I wait so long to read this. When an author can just get you hooked on characters in book is the best feeling ever. You have Becca who who's family is wealthy. She didn't want her family name to get her a job so tried to hide it. She didn't have a good experience with supposed best friend who is nothing but rude to her but wont stand up for her. She ended up having low self esteem by what happened. Little did she know when she landed a job and she meets Tyler Conklin hot son of the company. He needs to keep business and play separate but will she open up to him? She knows that can't have a relationship with the owners son but her feelings are just to strong to deny.

Tyler and his two brothers help with the company but Tyler has suck resentment towards his father RJ. Why? well when you read you will fine out. He is very protective of Becca when shes near her dad but yet he wants to hid it and act like not in a relationship with her. Why she puts up with the behavior of always being walked on by not being good enough for her family, friends walking all over her and now her new relationship that she must hide? will she reach a breaking point?

I have to say read it you will be pleasantly surprised. When an author gets me to feel like I am part of the book cause you just get sucked in is the best feeling. I'm not going to lie there are parts when I wanted to shake Becca saying to myself "really girl cant you see whats happening." But also like that Brooke is giving us views on not just Tyler but his whole family

ARC Was Given To Blog For An Honest Review

I really enjoyed this story. It was a journey of finding love and accepting who you are and learning that you do not have to take everything that people dish out to you.

I was really able to relate to Becca, some of her insecurities have been my own at one time or another in my life. Becca was one of the most believable characters I have ever read.

Tyler, what a handsome man and he also had insecurities of his own. Trust being the biggest one. My heart went out to this sweet sexy man. He deserved so much more and I was happy he was not written as a stuffy rich guy. He was very rich and  debonair but had such humility.

Becca and Tyler seemed to be handcrafted for each other. The needed one another to help balance the other out. They seemed to instinctively know what the other needed. Watching these two come to terms with a love that was meant to be was beautiful.

The author Brooke Page did a beautiful job developing these characters, I felt extremely invested in them. I enjoyed the supporting cast as well, each was written in such a way that it complimented the story and it flowed seamlessly. I get the sense the author was also sending me, the reader, a message. It was a message of strength and to stand up for yourself, believe in yourself and try not to let anyone stomp on your self-worth.  The word self esteem although not word often used in the story is to me what this story was about between each and every line I read. I believed what I was reading, yes, some of the antics were for entertainment purposes but I just felt I knew the character Becca. I read about her and saw me on the page.

This is a sexy book two and Tyler and Becca steam up the pages, and they do it often. The love scenes were even written very realistic. If you read this story, which I hope you will. I know you will understand what I am talking about. I had never heard of this story or author before and I am so happy I took the chance. This story is like finding a needle in a haystack and finding something that could have been so lost just makes it all the more special. Don’t miss out on this one. It would seem that there is another book to come. It did not end in a cliff and does seem to have an HEA but there is more. I could not tell if the more involves Tyler and Becca but I was really intrigued at the turn it seemed to be taking in the excerpt the author provides for the next book.

    Amazing, couldn't put it down.

It was great, not only is the book based in my hometown, it's not the typical love story. The love scenes are actually believable. The characters are all building up and are something you can sink into... and lead into book two! I couldn't put it down, I read it in two days!

This book is the first in a 3 book series and it will have you hooked. The author writes the characters so well they feel like real people. I went to school where this book is based out of so it was nice having that home town feel to it. The writer does a great job of explaining each person she introduces to the reader! You will not be disappointed with this purchase! If you buy the paperback she will autograph it for you too! It is a genuine story about a guy and girl with REAL problems, they don't just fall madly in love and live happily ever after, the write dives into to lives and gives the two realistic problems to conquer like any couple in the world today!

This book is another one that made my favorites book shelf on good reads. If your looking for a hot romance, that's completely unpredictable and a little different than the other typical romance books, then this is the book for you!

I loved the story line for this book, it isn't your typical everyday romance. It starts by setting you up to meet the Conklin's. I think that way it leaves you wondering. I love how Becca is a real girl, with real girl issues, sometimes reading about super sexy perfect woman gets old. She's been looking for that unconditional love her whole life, so when Tyler comes out of nowhere she can't believe it could be him willing to give it to her. Tyler and Becca are more alike than they realize. Although they have different issues they need to deal with they both just want someone to love and love them back. You just keep wondering if they have enough love to give the other and if they will find their happily ever after. Becca's fighting to keep all her emotions inside and in the end how will they come out? Tyler wants to make sure his dad leaves Becca alone, causing friction in the relationship. Can Tyler make Becca see how much he truly loves her? I recommend this book to everyone who loves a great story that isn't dull and will keep you hoping for the happily ever after. I loved this book and can't wait to read the next one!!

    4.5 stars
O-M-G, I love Tyler and Becca. Both the main characters have flaws, (a little Fifty Shades meets Crossfire Series to me), but if they didn’t have flaws, I would have been bored with the story. Who wants to read about to two beautiful, rich people that are perfect and have a perfect relationship?
Becca Stine is a 24 year old college graduate who was dealt a bad hand when her boyfriend Connor cheated on her in her last year of college with her childhood friend Ashlynn. To get over the devastation, she and her best friend Jamie lived it up for a year in Florida. After a frightful encounter in her dangerous lifestyle Becca and Jamie make the move back to Becca’s hometown of Grand Rapids after she accepts a job at Conklin Architecture, Construction, and Design. (She’s a good girl who tried to be bad, who just wants to be loved… ahhh)
Tyler Conklin is a beautiful complex man, he along with his father and brothers, run Conklin Architecture, Construction, and Design. When we first meet him, we realize that there are some underlying problems with him that are going to affect his story. The first realization this is his sexual escapade with his childhood nanny at his grandfather’s funeral. (oh, this guy is going to be awesome to read about.)
I love how Becca and Tyler meet; it reminded me a lot of Gideon and Eva from Crossfire, but with a different twist. They meet at work, Tyler is her bosses’ boss, who is intrigued by the new employee (Becca), and calls her out for her opinion during her first company meeting. The story moves smoothly, the writing great; we really get a feel for Becca and Tyler’s struggles and passion throughout the book.
The only issue I had with Becca is that she can be a little too whiny and insecure at times, but if you think about it, you should be able to completely relate as a woman. How would you feel if your boyfriend cheated on you, with your friend, in your bed, I’d be insecure too? Tyler also has his own demons with his family and relationships, that sometimes I just wanted to slap and he tell him to grow a pair.
The supporting cast of this book was also amazing. I love Jamie’s unwavering support for Becca and the Conklin brother’s family chemistry great. Also, every book needs a bad girl, enter… Ashlynn and a horrible parent – JR Conklin or Missy Stine (take your pick).
I give this book a definite 4.5 stars. If you loved Fifty Shades and the Cross Fire series, this book is defiantly for you!
***This is the first book in the Conklin’s Blueprints Trilogy.

I was given this book as an ARC for an honest review.  This

I was given this book as an ARC for an honest review.
This is the first book that I have read from this Author.
I gave this book 5 stars.

This is Becca and Tyler's story.

Becca is a beautiful young lady, who has basically been put down her whole life from her family to her friends. She thinks she is fat, and ugly and not worthy of being with anyone. Her mom is always telling her how she needs to eat less, and how she will never be a size 2 but she needs to be better. Now Becca is only a size 8 to start with and once she decides to cut out all potatoes and junk food and basically anything that is not a vegetable or meat she goes down to a size 4, but she is still feeling like she is ugly and is way more comfortable in a six. Now you may say really? A size 8? I would kill to be a size 8, but society has made it so that we are not comfortable in our own skin, this was a big issue for the writer to write about, so many times we get caught up in what we think others should think, and we are never happy with ourselves.

Becca has a boyfriend named Connor who she has been dating for quite awhile, that is until she finds him in her bed with her best friend Ashlynn. Ashlynn always wants everything that Becca has, and she didn't stop at the boyfriend either. She continues through out the book trying to trump Becca every chance she gets. Becca is a very passive, timid woman, and to a point that is good, but I think she is this way because everyone is always saying something about her weight, Ashlynn is always pointing it out right along with her mom, you shouldn't eat that, or it's ok that your not a size 2.

Becca broke my heart, she so wants to just be loved, for who she is, that she doesn't even love herself. She is constantly trying to make herself better, She needs to learn to love herself, or she is never going to ever be happy.

She graduates from college and moves in with her other bestfriend Jamie and she decides she is just going to have fun and sleeps around with a whole bunch of guys they meet at bars. She finally lands a job back home and moves back. She has a beautiful condo that her parents set up for her, and she is not happy with the fact that she is home and under their thumb once again, she wants to be able to do this on her own. But again Becca is timid and doesn't like to cause waves so she stays quiet.

At her new job she meets Tyler and he is the bosses son, he runs the company with his dad and two brothers, now Tyler has his own issues and those issues cause him to want to keep her a secret, and not because of the way she thinks, she thinks it's because she is not perfect and that she is no way good enough for him, but they have to learn to deal with these things together, and both of them are very hard to get to open up, so while she thinks she is not good enough, and that she is fat and frumpy. Tyler is not like that, he loves the way she looks, and doesn't have issues with any of that.

The book continues to deal with Tyler and Becca's relationship and their issues, but is this going to tear them apart? Someone with all the issues that Becca has can she put up with being a secret and if she does for how long?

This book really spoke to me, maybe because I related to it so well, I found Becca to be a beautiful woman with some major issues, I do believe that Tyler can help her face some of her fears, and that he will help bring out that feistyness that she is missing. AND it is there. She just has to be willing to let it out.

Tyler when he finally told his story my heart broke too, these are two beautiful, damaged souls looking for someone to just love them. And I do believe they have found that in each other.

I loved going on this journey with them, and their story is not over, but their was not a major cliff hanger, which I loved also, it left me wanting more, but I was also satisfied.

Thank you Brooke for a beautiful story, about learning to love yourself, about learning that you might not always be perfect but in someone's eyes they will see you as perfect! And isn't that what we are all looking for ?

I can't wait to read the next book!! <3

And holy hell, everyone knows i love a man in a suit but Tyler Conklin is at the top of the list. Becca grows up alot during this book. I loved the storyline and characters and i am looking forward to the next book!

Becca Stine Has had a hell of a time the past two years. After walking in on Her Boyfriend having sex in HER bed with Her childhood Best Friend. She decides to take a year off and go “wild” with her Loyal and real Best Friend after a bad experience one night after the bar she deicides its time for her too grow up and get a job. Unfortunately the job she lands is in her home town where her Wealthy Family is. Her Father loves her dearly but oh boy is her mother a piece of work Always putting her down about her weight her eating habits her appearance and anything else you could imagine. On her first day at her new job she meets Nathan and Tyler Conklin 2 of the owners sons and her bosses. She is instantly attracted To Tyler and its clear the feeling is mutual. As Tyler is sending her mixed signals and confusing her She is battling with her insecurity her mothers Crudeness and finding out the her Ex and her friend whom he cheated on her with are getting married and want her to help design their Dream house. Her relationship with Tyler was very confusing as he has reasons for why he couldnt allow anyone to know they were together but he didnt want to talk about those reason. At first Becca was a hard character for me to like I mean the girl had absolutely no backbone she let people walk all over her and she allowed her “friend” to constantly be around her and throw her relationship with Beccas ex in her face going as far as to agreeing to draw up the blueprints for their house and be her maid of honor at their wedding. However as the story went on I grew to like her because you could see her developing a back bone right in front of your eyes. Does Becca get the guy? Will Tyler finally explain what his reasons are and acknowledge their relationship publicly. Will her mom ever treat her with the respect she deserves? You’ll have to read to find out! The journey Becca takes is one of heartache, pain, love, and self discovery and is well worth the read. I give this book 4 stars.

This book kept the reader guessing. The hero in this book is part of a very well known architecture and design firm. Then heroine is an architect. With that being said, this book is definitely a design how love should and should not go. That Love needs a strong and true foundation, or it will fall apart over time. The hero and heroine both have passed issues with relationships that they would rather keep bottled inside and forgotten. Yet, is anything truly forgotten? Will Becca and Tyler open their hearts and bare their souls in order to create and construct their Happily Ever After? Well you will have to read to find out. Enjoy!
