Overview

Up until this spring, I have never flown back through time and space in some sort of dream machine to catch a glimpse of this woman. I am convinced that I did not know her in her lifetime, and our paths have never crossed. You see I am fairly certain this woman is dead, and I have been transported to the year 1983. My name is Abigail Morrison, when I tell my story to others many times their first reaction is to gasp, but mostly they want to know how I survived being possessed. My house was beginning to scare the hell out of me from all of the spirit activity, yet I cannot leave when I'm convinced my house won't let me. The words the stranger in the library blurted out to me were true, "Someone is trying to get your attention." She knowing something about my house is creepier than the spirit trying to attack me, and I wonder if the word is out in town that I'm onto something? The thought of my house having up to ten spirits caught me utterly off guard. Having the wind knocked out of me last night also caught me by complete surprise. I felt it enter, but I didn't feel it leave. This scares the shit out of me. I can't get the gun out of my head, or maybe I should say the lack of gun. The digital clock above the bar read 7:00 p.m. I knew it was time for me, and the spirit posing to be me to leave the smoke filled tavern. It's hard to say how I feel about everything, my ribs ache and I find myself looking for an attorney. Never in a million years did I think this would happen to me. It was 2002 when I began to dream of the drug dealers wife found dead on the railroad tracks, except her dream told me something else. Although, Dream Detective is fiction it is based on true events and how I interpreted my dreams, premonitions, the paper trail, and the chatter from the town folk on what could have happened Memorial Weekend in 1983

Meet the Author

My name is Katrina Rose, and I love ghosts what can I say, but not because I like to be scared out of my wits, but because I like to connect with their stories. Many of them have unfinished business here on earth, and this is the mystery that I love to unravel.

I've been reading spooky ghost stories since I was in elementary. Then again, I've been intuitive since I was a little girl, so it's no wonder my first novel is about a psychic in search for what really happened to the spirits many wanted to forget.

Besides loving to tell stories, I love to hike primarily in the woods. Yes, I'm a tree huger. I'm also into music especially Indie Rock, and I love to drink wine with friends. Family is extremely important to me, and I look to the heavens for spiritual guidance.

A Bit of the Unusual Not to be Missed!

I just finished Connects by Katrina Rose. I really enjoyed reading this story about Abigail Morrison's experience with helping Donna and Ann Marie, two unsettled spirits. After moving to her new house, Abby can sense the fact that these murders have happened in the immediate area surrounding her house. She begins to investigate and finds out about the secrets members of her community have been hiding in regards to Donna and Mary Alice's deaths.  Throughout the book, Abby's life continues to be consumed with helping these unsettled spirits to cross over and finally find peace. This paranormal story will definitely make a connection with your curiosity about life after death and the plight of unsettled spirits. I would't pass this one up if you have a thirst for the unusual!

Need a good thriller? Love a good ghost story? Can't wait for the supernatural interaction?
Then you have the right book! Connects is a supernatural thriller that is real. Not only is it a true story, it is actually believable! Most "true" stories are a little hard to swollow. Connects takes you on an adventure of the soul. The main character finds herself in her dream home, only to discover that it has more elements that she bargained for. Day after day she learns more about the house, its past and also learns more about herself. Did I mention she is guided through this journey by the ghosts?
This book brings out the "chill factor" when thinking of ghost stories, but leaves you with the understanding of them, and also the comfort that they can actually bring.
A definite must read for someone who wants the truth.

    highly recommend

Hi y'all Anne here, so I just finished reading this book and wow is all I have to say. The author tells a story that takes you to a tiny country town up north, where a dream house is purchased. Happy and alive the couple Abby and Daniel move in, Daniel unaware that already Abby is getting strange feelings and hearing the word murder whispered into her ear. Abby is sensitive to spirits and their untimely demise. Katrina shows how precarious life can be when living in a world mixed with death, drugs, and loads of deceit. The town has gone out of their way to hide their nasty habits right along side of murders, no one wants to get into trouble so even the least likely of people knows the secret. Who will tell? The past can't stay hidden forever and as the main character Abby gets to poking around people secrets are pouring out of the wood works. Ann Marie and Donna take center stage as the now spirits of murders past, both are mothers who have been anxiously waiting a person who could hear, see and feel their wants and regrets as well as the hate for being left as part of a cover up.
No persons soul deserves to be left to wonder earth because of the cowardice of others. Their stories will be told no matter if the teller is willing or not. A mothers love for her child can pass through worlds and their wants for their child will not go unheard. This story is beautifully told showing all the love and fear that can go along with spirits and their messages, Abby has a true gift that she accepts and nurtures. By the end of the story a "Connection" has been formed between Abby, Donna, and Ann Marie as well as myself the reader. I felt connected to this story by the end having been given details that pull you into the tale of all these womens lives.
Anyone who loves murder/mystery would love this book also given the amount of digging Abby must do to get the truth. But true ghost lovers and seekers will adore this book. I know its out of my usual range of books but I enjoyed this book, the basis of the true story kept me awake waiting for things that go bump in the night. I recommend this book for those that love the paranormal as a part of our own world. i loved this book and truly hope the author Katrina will share more of her stories with us..... 5 out of 5 stars for this true story...

Loved it the message within this true ghost story!

One of the best ghost stories I've read in a long time. It truly is a story with a real time line. It's exciting to know that its based on a true ghost story, but not one that is just terrifying, but one that has a message.
