Meet the Author

Derek Porter is the Co-Founder/COO of The War Writers' Campaign, Inc. As a former United States Marine and Iraq war veteran, Derek served with 2nd Fleet Anti-terrorism Security Team (F.A.S.T.) Company and toured Iraq both as a Marine and as a private security operator. He was awarded the Navy Marine Corps Achievement Medal with combat distinguishing device for bravery under fire. He is also a security expert and owner of SecurityGrade.com L.L.C.

Derek has a B.S. in Business Management and is studying for his M.S. in Security Management at the University of Denver. He has self-published dozens of articles on security.
