Kropotkin has been labeled an agrarian thinker by many. While this is something of a fair assessment of his work as it relates to his time, the power of its ideas remains to be re-evaluated and applied to modern industrial circumstances that their full potential might be realized.
It speaks volumes that Kropotkin was able to predict the downfall of sate Communist experiments while simultaneously expounding a theory of ocommunism that is vastly more egalitarian, futuristic (despite its 19th-Century backdrop), and, above all, plausible. It remains to be seen when or if the Revolution he predicts will come to pass, in whatever form it may take.
