Bertrand Russell never fails to amaze me with his logic and insight. In this book he has discribed my feelings of depression and self-defeatest attitude to the letter. I personally have never had any serious harm done to me as an adult or as a child and this book makes no impression that it will try to fix those problems (specifically noted in the book). This book has helped me keep faith in myself and look in other directions for my own well- being. He takes everyones life step by step through all of the feelings that you feel when you are down and tells you how happy and sad people have dealt with them. A lot of the information when you read it requires a "DUH! Why didn't I know that?!" in perfect Betrand Russell fashion. A great book especially for the 20- 30 year olds who feel lost and isolated. A great and inspiring read, I will consider this book my bible.
