Not For Devotees Of The Known Or Expected!

A bizarre tale about a killer hurricane roaming across the Earth. As it begins to devastate London we join a divorcing couple meeting with their lawyers to discuss terms. The negotiations are continually being interrupted by a carpenter/part-time musician who lives in the attic below and who is working on a mystical piano concerto which will disperse the storm. This production was originally intended to demonstrate Creme & Godley's ''Gizmo'': a device which would enable a guitar to produce all sorts of sound effects (and which subsequently provided C&G with their distinctive sound). It evolved into this project which became a fixation for odd-hour college radio programming. Fans of British comedian Peter Cook will enjoy his voice work here, and art-rock enthusiasts will nod their heads over some of the richly textured pieces . . . including a nice vocal number featuring Sarah Vaughn. This is not for the Top 40 crowd, but for those who treasure the unusual and who appreciate subtlety in humor.
