This is one of my all-time favorite CDs. In an age of increasing commotion, negativity and abrasiveness, this CD is uplifting & inspiring. It blesses me every time I listen to it.

    Amazingly beautiful

This album is so amazing, and it makes me feel like heavenly angels are singing. I truly enjoy track number 11 and the beautiful message it portrays.

    Peaceful, inspirational music.

I'm biased, since I'm in the Choir and took part in this recording, but I thought this information might be helpful. Here is the complete track listing for this release: 1 For the Beauty of the Earth Music: John Rutter Text: F. S. Pierpont 3:21 2 O Holy Jesus Music: Jonathan Willcocks Text: St. Richard of Chichester Arrangement: Mack Wilberg 3:36 3 Morning Has Broken Music: Traditional Gaelic Melody Text: Eleanor Farjeon Arrangement: Mack Wilberg 2:16 4 As the Bridegroom to His Chosen Music: John Rutter Text: John Tauler, trans. by E. F. Bevan Arrangement: John Rutter 3:51 5 I Sing the Mighty Power of God Music: English Melody Text: Isaac Watts Arrangement: Mack Wilberg 2:18 6 He Shall Feed His Flock Music: John Ness Beck Text: Isaiah 40:11, Psalm 23:1 Orchestration: Mack Wilberg 3:10 7 My Shepherd Will Supply My Need Music: American Folk Hymn from Southern Harmony, 1835 Text: Isaac Watts from Psalm 23 Arrangement: Mack Wilberg 4:52 8 The Lord Bless You and Keep You Music: John Rutter Text: Numbers 6:24 2:56 9 I'm Trying to Be Like Jesus Music: Janice Kapp Perry Text: Janice Kapp Perry Arrangement: Barlow Bradford 4:38 10 Rejoice, the Lord Is King! Music: Malcolm Archer Text: Charles Wesley Orchestration: Nathan Hofheins 2:32 11 Jesu, the Very Thought Is Sweet Music: Mack Wilberg Text: Bernard of Clairvaux, trans. by J. M. Neale 6:14 12 Pilgrims' Hymn Music: Stephen Paulus Text: Michael Dennis Browne 3:35 13 I Believe in Christ Music: John Longhurst Text: Bruce R. McConkie Arrangement: Mack Wilberg 4:54 14 God, So Loved the World Music: Carl J. Nygard, Jr. Text: John 3:16 Orchestration: Nathan Hofheins 4:10 15 This Is the Christ Music: Michael F. Moody Text: James F. Faust and Jan Pinborough Arrangement: Barlow Bradford 5:12 16 For I Am Called by Thy Name Music: Crawford Gates Text: Jeremiah 15:16 1:58 17 Consider the Lilies Music: Roger Hoffman Text: Roger Hoffman Arrangement: A. Laurence Lyon Orchestration: Barlow Bradford 5:18 Also, this release is the first on the brand-new Mormon Tabernacle Choir label, and the sound is very rich and thick; we tried to get the sound as close to how it sounds sitting in the tabernacle in Salt Lake City. The music is very touching and peaceful. I think it's ideal music for sitting and listening in quiet moments. The booklet contains full printed lyrics as well as many brilliant photographs of lilies. We loved every song we performed for this CD, and it makes a perfect gift for your friends who need a lift.
