This book is unique in that it is extremely entertaining and extremely instructive at the same time. You will find a revelation or a nod in every story.

After I read this book, I ordered his other books. I found them easy to read and so informative. Very memorable stories, and all true.Even if you don't like horses, you may enjoy this book. His storytelling is wonderful. I was reminded of what I had learned without even knowing it. His stories mirrored much of what I learned when I was getting to know horses as a pre-teen many years ago. I have given some of his books to my students to read. Non-traditional, gentle and kind methods that few had the honor to learn in a time before 'natural horsemanship' finally caught on.

This book is not just filled with good sense of humor, but it also helps you understand the horse. I am a young rider, but has done a great deal of work with horses, reading Mark Rashids book I realised I had so much to learn and I did many things wrong. Now both me and my horse is doing much better. He is more calm and content and I enjoy learning from him.
