Constant Craving [Rapture Island 2] (Siren Publishing Everlasting Classic)by Leah Brooke
[Siren Everlasting Classic: Erotic Consensual BDSM Romance, public exhibition, sex toys, HEA] Kelsey Richards kept the few men she'd allowed in her life at a distance. When her friend introduced her to Gabriel Durand, a man who liked to dominate women, she gave him a wide berth, not interested in any man she couldn't control. She couldn't miss her only friend's wedding, even if it meant she'd have to spend a week on Rapture Island, an island that catered to men like him. The reality of being there, and under Gabriel's protection, proved more unsettling than she'd bargained for. Kelsey was intrigued by Gabriel's proposition, though. The idea of submitting to him in return for a week of pleasure was a lure she couldn't resist. She didn't want to hear his claim to want more. She didn't believe it. She'd take the pleasure and walk away. Sex with Gabriel, though, was nothing like she'd imagined, creating a bond she couldn't fight. He made her feel again. He taught her to love. ** A Siren Erotic Romance

BORING.... Disappointing Sequel. I liked Kelsey and Gabriel in Rapture Island 1, Crescendo. I was looking forward to hearing about them. Except for a very short opening sequence, the entire book was just the two of them on Rapture Island, no interactions with anyone else. The first 50 pages was just them arguing on their first night there about what made up a Dom Sub relationship. Turned out at least three quarters of the book was the same thing. BORING. I had to force myself to finish reading it, hoping it would get better. Crescendo had a plot, a great storyline, good supporting characters, great lead characters. Constant Craving had none of that. Kelsey and Gabriel were supposed to be on the island for Nick, Steve and Julianna's wedding. That was never covered in the book at all. At least mentioning the wedding would give some interaction with other people and make it a little more interesting. No, nothing. The only reference to it was a short paragraph that said they had left for their honeymoon and Kelsey and Gabriel were alone on the island. I usually like Leah Brooke's stories. This one was not up to her usual standards at all. And have to mention that Crescendo was over 1200 pages. Constant Craving, barely 210. It needed more story, less arguing.
I am a fan of this author however I found this book to be repetitive and almost boring. I struggled to finish it. I found myself wondering how could there still be 40 more pages. It was the same scene over and over again. I found myself really not liking the characters. I found him to be overbearing and her to be whiny and weak. No offense but what happened to her shouldn't have been that big of a deal. Ugh I hesitate to buy anything else from this author.
Loved this book. I am a huge Leah Brooke fan
Always enjoy her writing. Another great read!
This is the second book in this series but you didnt have to read the first to enjoy this book. I like the rapture island storyline. Strong man and equally strong woman finding a way to make their relationship work.
This is Leah Brooke at her best!. I had been hoping for a long time that Leah would write a sequel to Crescendo and I was not disappointed! What I really enjoyed about this book was that although the action takes place in just one week, our hero and heroine have known each other for longer than that, so it's not like most erotica where the couple meet and is instantly in forever love, but don't realize it until the bad guy brings outside pressure on the relationship. This book was well written with characters you care for and I just loved it! Oh, did I mention the very HOT s e x? Hmmm ... gooood :)
