    I Also Recommend:

    If You Need This Book You Shouldn't Go Into Consulting

    I would avoid this book. If you want a boiler plate book that covers the equivalent of a first year introductory class in marketing, this is it. If you are seriously thinking of going into consulting for a living, your time would be better spent elsewhere. I purchased Rasputin for Hire and found it very helpful. Rasputin for Hire: An Inside Look at Management Consulting Between Jobs or as a Second Career.

    Helpful note to the author: Elaine, why don't you write a book about how to publish low-value quick start guides? I think that's where you can give better advice.

    Must have for all new consultants

    This book is a 'must have' for all new consultants. It is especially helpful to those involved in corporate training development and delivery. I have used many of the forms in this book as templates. This was money well-spent!
