Top Shelf Reading for Affordable Design and Construction

Whether you're an architect or student, builder, designer or simply interested in affordable, green home building, in my view this is the consummate volume on building with new or used shipping containers. From these sturdy steel, simple boxes, one can build a single story home in the forest or depending on building codes, anywhere else for that matter, to multi-story multi-purpose structures in an urban landscape.

The author thoroughly takes you through the process from conceptualization to execution and offers a wealth of story-boarded color photographs along with architectural floor plans and design thoughts from simple weekend retreats and studios to the complex with full-on mechanical system support. This is a great practical and thought provoking volume well-worth the small price you pay for so much information and material.
