The concept presented in this book is great. I've been an avid container gardener for 36 years and love reading about it. The quality of paper used for the book is strong and durable, the three column design of the text is a unique change; yet the text itself is rambling and repetitive. Rather than achieving a charming conversational quality, my perception is that it "talks down" to the reader and the little "folksy" insertions seem forced. More editing and attention to layout detail - such as not allowing side bars and boxes to interrupt the flow of the main text, but rather enhancing it - would spruce up this book and make it more reader-friendly.
