    BEST CONTROLS TEXBOOK YET WRITTEN!

    Best textbook in my ungrad and/or graduate career. Written in straightforward manner. Conveys material in an almost perfect balance between too litle and too much explanation. All authors of engineering text should strive toward this model. Numerous examples. Supplementary material provided on accompanying CR-ROM gives clearer understanding as well as leg-up for future problem solving, particularly with MATLAB. The only downside are in-depth case studies are too significant a jump from basic material, and aren't easy to follow if your Controls course doesn't cover the chapters in a sequential manner.

    Excellent Book

    I think this book is one of the best engineering books i have ever come across in my college life. It explains everything in detail e.g system stability specs. The author did a great job in explaining concepts like poles and zeros, the root locus and so on. He even goes to back to basic concepts when the material is tough to understand. So if you want to skip class and use this book as a guide then go for it !

    Worst engineering book I ever seen

    The book does a poor job of explaining the subject. Not enough examples for the problems and hard to understand. The problems in the end of the chapters don¿t have the solutions to them (only about 2 or 3 problems do have the solution out of 50+ problems at the end of every chapter). Also, the 'Skill-Assessment Exercises' supposedly have the solutions in the included CD. It does have the solutions but the author doesn't show you how he got to it. He also throws all the solutions in one big PDF file. Not broken up according to chapters like some other books with CDs. Don't waste your $100+ on this book unless you have to for school!
