I first read this book in college and I still rate it as one of the most important books I have read. The concepts are realistic without gimmicky, wierd questions to ask someone. If you actually practice what it teaches, this book can change your life. The conversation examples are helpful. I highly recommend this as one of the best of all conversation books.

I thought the book was a nice read for someone like myself who really isn't much of a conversationalist. It breaks down the fundamentals and can take edge off of striking up and maintaining conversations of substance.

I really wanted to give this book a chance, but this book was just awful. This book is for special ed, and for special ed only. If you're actually learning things from this book, that you didn't already know, then lol just give up. Or if you think you couldn't talk to people already with the examples that are given in here.. give up
