In the ancient tradition of lectio divina, O'Driscoll inspires us to enter more deeply into the biblical stories. He writes out of a conviction that, despite all its differences, the world of the Bible--its physical, moral, and spiritual terrain--is also our world and our community. These conversations across time with our ancestors in faith transport us to a place where we can be at home in the biblical world and meet people who are surprisingly much like ourselves.
