A memoir by the former vice president of Yugoslavia describing three visits to Moscow and his encounters there with Stalin. Index. Translated by Michael B. Petrovich.

This book records the author's impressions of three meetings with Stalin between 1944 and 1948. This is literally a record of three six or eight hour periods, but it flows well, is a quick read, and provides some notes regarding Stalin's daily routine. The author (a Jugoslavian military and communist leader) apparently initially thought very highly of Stalin but the image tarnished as he became more familiar with Stalin, and he potrays Stalin as very diminished following WWII.Was this review helpful?
