Overview

Emma is content. She's got a promising career in front of her, great friends, and a pretty amazing family. But her love life has been a little lacking lately. That's when fate steps in, and she crashes into a tall, dark and handsome man—Teren Adams.

He’s single, successful, an extraordinary gentleman, but he’s also secretive. And some of his secrets are more unusual than most people’s. For instance, he’s a “little bit” vampire. He has fangs, incredible hearing, unbelievable speed, and, on occasion, he enjoys drinking a steaming cup of blood. But he’s also very much alive. He has a heartbeat, loves steak as well as cappuccinos, and has no problems walking around during the day.

Since Teren acts human the majority of the time, the pros far outweigh the cons in Emma’s book. But when it becomes apparent that Teren’s condition is much more serious than he first lets on, and that being in a relationship with him requires more sacrifices than most would be willing to make, will Emma stay? Is love enough to compensate for a life that will never be anywhere near normal? But then again...what's normal anyway?

Meet the Author

S.C. Stephens is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author who enjoys spending every free moment she has creating stories that are packed with emotion and heavy on romance.

Her debut novel, Thoughtless, an angst-filled love triangle charged with insurmountable passion and the unforgettable Kellan Kyle, took the literary world by storm. Amazed and surprised by the response to the release of Thoughtless in 2009, more stories were quick to follow. Stephens has been writing nonstop ever since.

In addition to writing, Stephens enjoys spending lazy afternoons in the sun reading fabulous novels, loading up her iPod with writer's block reducing music, heading out to the movies, and spending quality time with her friends and family. She currently resides in the beautiful Pacific Northwest with her two equally beautiful children.

4.5 stars for me.... I love this series!

I read this book the first time back in July of 2011. I always think back to this book and the entire series (which is yet to come for most if you have not been able to read it prior to official publishing).

Let me start by telling you that I have a totally different perspective in reviewing this book……Why you ask? Because I have read 4 of the books in this series already! It has been years, but it was before S.C. Stephens started officially publishing her books.

I did not get the chance to fully re-read Conversion for my review today, BUT I really did not have to as this series has STUCK with me through the years and when I think back to these books, there are so many parts that still get all my emotions going crazy.

When I read Conversion, it was my first vampire book after reading the Twilight series. While this is a “vampire” based book, you do not have to be a paranormal fan to enjoy reading this book. I am not a traditional vampire story kind of girl. S.C. Stephens certainly has created an original storyline, I loved that I never knew where the story was going to go.

I will be honest and say when I started Conversion, it did not grab me right away. ONLY because there was not build up of their relationship and I did not totally love the scene when Emma found out he was a vampire. BUT since I loved reading the author’s other books, I kept reading anyway. I AM SOOO GLAD THAT I DID! This story is NOT about the build-up of their relationship, but more of the continued love story, family, friendships and lots of twists and adventures.

I fell in love with Teren, the male lead, he is absolutely swoon-worthy (I can still picture him in my head). I LOVED Emma and Teren’s love story. I LOVED the relationships with Emma and Teren’s families. Now (not during reading!), I can look back and say I even loved that she made me cry! S.C. Stephens certainly captured my attention, made me laugh, made me cry and kept me on the edge of sanity with my heart pumping out of my chest, everything you could need in a book.

I really loved this story & series and I can’t wait for everyone to be able to catch up to me. Don’t worry, these books are not cliffhangers – without giving anything away, the additional books are just….more……and for me, each book just got better and better. If you were a fan of The Thoughtless Series and are skeptical of reading a paranormal story, don’t be…..S.C. Stephens has a talent to write about anything (and I would buy it) and I think she can get you wrapped up in her paranormal world just as easy as she grabbed your attention in her rocker world. I would love to hear your thoughts!

    Sorry No

I was not a fan of this book. The story line took forever and too much repeating. No real action til almost very end. How this book got 5 stars. I have no clue. I was every disappointed. It took me 4 days to read it.

    Good book

I was hesitant to read this....paranormal not really my thing but its SC Stephens, so I gave it a shot! Took me a little bit to get into the story.....no real build up about him being a vampire. Stephens had me totally in love with these characters by the time I finished the book! Can't wait for the other books to come out!

Loved it, reread it a billion times!

The whole series is amazing, all the characters are very well rounded and this isn't your typical vampire love story. <3

When I started Conversion I was not for sure if it was going to be a book that I would really like. And then I just got hooked and could not put it down until I was done. I ended up reading in one more time. Can’t wait for the next one of this series to come out.

    Ok

Just ok.....took me awhile to get into it. I didn't feel the characters at first almost liked it was rushed or forced. No comparison to her thoughtless series. Just dissappointed!
