I picked this book up at the library on the day it arrived; the cover drew me in (and I was trying to get away without checking any more books out!). It didn't take me long to decide that I was going to buy my own copy. I'm a cookie dough-eater from way back (when we didn't know any better), and I still like to sneak some from time to time. But I feel guilty about not letting my kids eat it (because I don't want to expose them to the risk). Now I don't have to feel badly about occasionally letting them have a little cookie dough, because I can whip up just a little as a fun treat. This is a fun book with just about any basic cookie dough you can think of (and a few that I hadn't), plus more elaborate recipes that incorporate the doughs (which I'm looking forward to trying out). Sometimes, the dough really is the best part of making cookies.
