I enjoyed this book very much for years, and I enjoy this story even as a grown-up. In this story a witch puts a spell on her cookie tree to give cookies only to people who will share them, fearing that the Cookie Monster will eat all her cookies, because she knows he never shares cookies. When Cookie Monster tries to get a cookie, the tree tells him he has to find someone to share them with. The trouble is, no one on Sesame Street will share the cookies with Cookie Monster, because they don't believe he will really share them. The witch can't get any cookies, either. The tree won't let her have any because she is no better at sharing them. Cookie Monster and the witch agree to share the cookies, and they share one, but then Cookie Monster gobbles all the others. Even though this was a Sesame Street book, I admit that it touched my emotions in a sense that it made me sad that Cookie Monster was so sad when no one would share the cookies with him at first. But it also made me want to eat chocolate chip cookies when I got it!Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
