Cookies and Scream is the fifth book in the A Cookie Cutter Shop

Cookies and Scream is the fifth book in the A Cookie Cutter Shop Mystery series.

Olivia returns from vacation and the next day a friend, Constance, calls to explain the antique cookie cutters that are in her wall safe. Greta Oskarson has decided to move back to Chatterly Heights and has asked Constance to hold her cookie cutter collection until Olivia returns and meeting can be arranged with Olivia to discuss the sale of Greta's collection. Greta has been living in Europe and has had several husbands who most, if not all, have died from questionable circumstances. Before Olivia has a chance to start selling off the cutters, she gets a call from Greta saying she's having breathing problems and asks for help. Shortly after arriving at the hospital, Greta dies and the cause of death is tentatively listed as a heart attack. Olivia and a doctor aren't so sure, so with help of Maddie they start looking into Greta's past.

Olivia and Maddie once again have wonderful cast of characters to fill in the void when they are out sleuthing. Bertha is back with her light hearted way and is busy keeping shop organized, as is her dear friend Mr. Willard. Ellie, Olivia's mother is back with her usual motherly advice. Then ever the thorn in Olivia side, are Binnie and Ned, reporter and photographer for the local paper. Del, Olivia's romantic interest is out of town, dealing with his ex wife. Can't forget Spunky, Olivia's adorable Yorkie. The official "meeter and greeter" at The Gingerbread House.

Looking forward to the next book in the series
