Overview

The test cooks at America's Test Kitchen know the value of a meal that doesn't create a lot of unwanted leftovers. Their goal was to take some of the best recipes they developed within the past year and cut them down to size to serve two. The result is Cooking for Two, a super-sized special issue full of more than 100 recipes, all specifically tweaked, tested and developed for just two servings. From Easy Fried Chicken and Smothered Pork Chops, to Meaty Skillet Lasagna and Chocolate-Raspberry Torte, these recipes will cut down on wasted food – but cuts out none of the great taste. Like all recipes developed at America's Test Kitchen, every offering in Cooking for Two has been tested and retested (some as many as 50 times) to ensure foolproof results in your kitchen. And as always, every issue we publish is 100% ADVERTISING FREE, so you get unbiased and objective information on every page.

I've subscribed to Cook's Illustrated from day one, and have many of their cookbooks, too. I've NEVER been disappointed in a CI recipe. Given the cost of food in this economy, a CI cookbook is a real value, and an investment in the pleasures of eating well. You won't regret buying this cookbook--or any of the rest of their fine publications.
