I have reservations about the research time spent on this book. Tomatoes, garlic, and onions are TOXIC to dogs. So if you buy this book, you will have to adapt several recipes so they will be safe.

I just got this book and I am very excited about preparing some delicious meals for our dogie. I always cook her chicken with rice, carrots and peas when she is feeling little bit sick and she loves it. It picks her up quickly, so I can't wait to make more food with variety of veggies and meats, fish even a tofu! I am also looking forward to bake some of the treats and cookies that look just like one would love to eat them itself! :-) And all the ingredients are safe. I come from a country where we used to feed dogs with leftovers and cooked meal for them 2-3 times a week, so I am so much used to the idea of cooking for our four leg friends and they love it! :-) Just remember: do it with love! ;-)Was this review helpful? I've not tried any of the recipes yet, and do plan to. My concern is that as I've read them all over, I can't understand why onion, garlic and tomato are key ingredients in so many! I am new to the dog world (2 months) and I've read in multiple places that these are NOT things to feed a dog!! I've gone through my book and crossed out these ingredients wherever I've seen them and will try the recipes without. That said, I can't help but wonder about the accuracy and safety of the recipes given this finding. :(Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
