Wonderful cookbook filled with gorgeous photographs

I'm a longtime Trader Joe's shopper and I was thrilled when a friend (who knows my obsession) gave me this cookbook as a gift. First impressions: it's a sturdy hardcover, it stays open to whichever page I'm on, and it engaged me instantly. The most striking thing about it and my most favorite feature is the photographs on every other page. I love cookbooks with photographs and this one has full page colorful photos that capture every single recipe. Now that I've had it for some months, I can also attest to the ease and simplicity of the recipes. The recipes are delightful and every one comes out the way it's supposed to; my husband and I have loved them all and we make so many of them regularly now. We're both so busy that it's a blessing not to spend hours in the kitchen and still enjoy a healthy, truly gourmet meal.
Lots of helpful tips inside as well - who knew you could use dental floss to cut a goat cheese log into perfect medallions?? I've also expanded what I get at Trader Joe's - I discovered the already steamed lentils, pizza dough, and frozen garlic, all of which are staples in my kitchen now. I can't say enough about the great products they have there - nowhere else compares in price, quality, or pure adventure.
This Christmas I'm planning on buying my girlfriends a copy and tucking in a Trader Joe's gift certificate or a few of my favorite products into a basket. They're going to think I've finally gone nuts with my TJ's addiction.

    Required for TJ Shoppers!

We saw this book while browsing in B&N and decided to pick it up. After trying a couple of recipes, I HIGHLY recommend it! The recipes are quick and easy to make, even after a long day at work. Ingredients in the book are easy to find in the stores. We are really excited to try the other recipes in the book!

Besides just having the recipe, the authors also decided to include a picture. This is one of my fianceé's requirements for a recipe book! She always wants to see what the recipe looks like when it's done.

There are only two suggestions that I have in order to make this book better. A second volume because the recipes are fantastic and a little blurp about how to prepare certain ingredients. For example, last night we made Brie covered with apricot and almonds. I had to look up on the Internet if you remove the rind/white moldy stuff from the Brie. I suppose that is probably just basic knowledge because it's something I'm unfamiliar with.

If you are a fan of Trader Joe's and shop there for everything, you must buy this book. The dishes we were making before were bland and needed a change. I'd say all the recipes in here are fast, easy to make, and good. I can't wait for the next volume so I can pick it up!

    Great Cookbook

Everyone that shops at Trader Joe's knows how much a pain it is not being able to find certain ingredients that a regular store carries. It's just great to be able to shop at one store and be done. Not only is it a time saver when you are shopping it is also a time saver in the kitchen. There are so many great recipes that are fast and easy. I recommend this book to everyone I meet.

    Yum!

This is an amazing book - we have tried about 7 of the recipes and only 2 of them were passes - not bad, just not to our liking. Be careful because some things Trader Joe's no longer carries. So don't get your heart set!

Love the apricot and brie - I'm craving it now.

    Easy, terrific cookbook!

This cookbook is absolutely great for anyone, whether you're a beginner or a whiz in the kitchen. And of course, it's a must if you shop at Trader Joe's stores. I have tried many of the recipes and they have all been very good and very popular with my family. The black bean soup and the sesame noodles and the Chipotle turkey chili are my personal favorites. There are nice, big photographs for every dish which makes it so easy to look through and get started.

What a wonderful way to know Trader Joe's

I bought this cook book while I was Christmas shopping and didn't know what a wonderful gift it would of made. I have already made many of the recipes and found lots of new things in the store. I will buy more for gifts soon.
