More About This NOOK Magazine

Overview

Cook's Country magazine is dedicated to honest-to-goodness American home cooking, offering quick, easy and satisfying meals that don't take hours to put on the table. We highlight Lost Recipes from your youth that you thought were gone forever and Regional Favorites that showcase little-known specialties from across the country, and foolproofs them for the modern kitchen. Every recipe we publish has been tested and retested 20, 30, sometimes 50 times until we come up with a recipe that will work the first time – and every time – you make it. Every issue also includes objective equipment testing and supermarket ingredient tastings so you can shop smart. And each issue of Cook's Country is 100% ADVERTISING FREE, so you get unbiased and objective information on every page. As we like to say at Cook's Country, "We make the mistakes so you don't have to."

    What were you thinking???

I love this magazine but won't be subscribing to it on my nook because I cannot print out the recipes. What good is the information if it isn't usable? Hopefully this is something that will corrected in the future.

Disappointed: still some kinks to work out

I love the America's Test Kitchen publications, but buying this for Nook was a bad decision. Question marks replace fractions in the recipe ingredients list. My Simple touch is to small to see a whole page.

    more from this reviewer

Don't Recommend if you have already purchased a hard copy

Most of other magazines will allow you to enter your account number and receive the magazine via Nook with out haveing to resubscribe. Not Cooks Country they want to charge you again. Its the same as their website each application requires another charge.

Not for NOOK on PC either.

Same issues as others have had. ? instead of a fraction, no ability to print a recipe. And, on my laptop, this magazine keeps crashing the nook application, so I can't even read all of it.

Good magazine, but not on an e-reader

This magazine print is small, and difficult to manage on an e-reader. When enlarged, the page doesn't allow for easy manipulation to read an entire recipe or article. This one should be purchased in paper form.
