Meet the Author

Helen Saberi is one of the founders of the Oxford Symposium for Food. She was an assistant editor on The Oxford Companion to Food and is the author of several books, including Afghan Food & Cookery. Madeline Swan is the author of A Curious History of Cats. Tom Jaine is the former editor of the Good Food Guide, the author of Baking Bread at Home and Building a Wood-Fired Oven for Bread and Pizza, and the owner and editor of PPC (Petits Propos Culinaires), a journal of food history.
