I absolutely love the books from cook's Illustrated, etc. I have several of them. One can learn a lot from them and save a lot of effort in cooking. Great books for a new cook. The book is a good one... however....I do wish I had not gotten this for my NOOK!!! It is way too difficult to read!! Especially if you wish to use the recipes from it! Open to the pages and they are so small you cannot see them so you have to enlarge a small section at a time which is just not feasible to use for cooking by.... I regret buying this for my NOOK! I think I will get it in print!
I love Cook's Illustrated and this one is handy, it does take a while to get used to reading it on Nook, I have the Nook app on my iPad and it works great! All the recipes are wonderful, I am still trying to see if I can ruin one, but so far I have been terribly unsuccsessful!
