Mochas, Beagles, Friends, Boys, and God: What More Could You Ask for in a Book?

I LOVE Erynn Mangum. Her writing style is brilliant and oh so entertaining. I feel as if I am reading a story about someone who likes all the same things as me, from orange chicken from Panda Express to eating endless amounts of chocolate! And not even this, but I learn so much about my relationship with God every time I pick up one of her books. I really enjoyed this book! From Maya's adorable and quirky beagle to her love of food and coffee (I have probably had at least 5 mochas while reading this book and am drinking one now!), I enjoyed every moment I spent reading. My advice: go buy a mocha before you start reading, then sit back, relax, and savor not only your coffee, but the richness of Cool Beans! :)

    impressive all around!

i was never a big fan of romance books, and i knew i was taking a risk considering most of the 'romance books' on the nook are inapropiate, but i was well rewarded with an impressive book. this is about a young twenty-something woman who works in a coffee shop and is a christian, she discovers all of a sudden that her roommate jen, is dating her old high school sweetheart! she stumbles her way through the difficult task of letting go and has some very comical adverntures along the way.

    Great read!

This book is a start to a great series. Maya is a well thought out character whose needs and feelings are accurate. The writing is excellent and the plot is great. I have already recommended this to friends and blogged about it on my blog. I will definitely be buying Latte Daze!

    LOVED IT!!!

I loved this book. I loved Maya Davis' character through this whole book. After you read this book you need to read the other two of this series. Beware. I felt like it left me hanging at the end. Therefore I went straight to the store on my nook and bought the second one. There's no way you can finish this book and feel something like accomplishing reading a good book. You need to read all three and then you will feel that accomplishment...if that makes any sense at all. JUST READ ALL THREE BOOKS IN THIS SERIES. :) You won't regret it.

    Loved it!

Now this is my idea of a great summer read. It was light, funny, and relatable. I loved how the author intertwined fellowship and Christianity within the story line. She did an excellent job of setting up the plot and making the characters believable and likeable. I wanted a cup of coffee each time I picked it up in addition to spending some quality, worship time!

Looking forward to the next book

Loved this tale, and the stuggle she has, that we all have in knowing where our lives will lead. Cute, entertaining, and free, wish the next two were free

    Only for 13 and under

This book is poorly written, even for a "teen novel." It's boring and I would only recommend it to girls under the age of 13. Any age over that and they will learn wrong writing practices.

    very cute story

I very much enjoyed this book. It was easy to read and believable. Maya is such a sarcastic character that it keeps a level of comdedy throughout the story with just enough romance and trouble. All the while keeping God involved. I have already bought the next one.

Highly recommended for Christian teenage girls

I really enjoyed this book. While the story does relate to the life of a twenty-something, Christian woman, it really does provide a positive example to teenage girls. How refreshing it is to read a novel about romance and life without sex and foul language crowding the picture! Now starting "Latte Daze", the follow-up book. Erynn Mangum should be proud.
