I discovered this book while searching for books on veganity. Being both a big YA reader, and a young adult myself, and a vegan, I decided to check it out. OH MY GOD! This book is a blast! Completely different from the usual stuff you see on the YA blogs, the author has a style all his own and it's freakin' hilarious! Yes, I'm a vegan, and at first I was a bit offended because the main character, Bartholomew Moriarity, is this typical militant type who preaches radicalization of the movement, and I know people like this so it really hit home, but Ramsey Dean creates this world as an allegory for the extremism and fundementalism that are at the big heart of this comic treatise on race and religion. It's not only a great read for my clique, but just about anybody with an open mind. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
