Simple ways to fight anxiety without drugs

The authors address many simple methods to reduce anxiety. Unlike many books that stress medication this book deals with approaches that puts the sufferer more in control. Exercise is one of the tools explained in the book. Much research and many other books have also recommended exercise. I especially enjoyed their chapter on how to think realistically. Many of us with anxiety really whip up ourselves with our thinking. We see only the negative. We expect life and everyone to go as we have imagined. If everything and everybody are not perfect, we can't stand it. We feel inferior because we concentrate on matching our weak points to other people's strong points. We do not see the whole picture. This chapter instructs us in how to not let 'the sound of our wheels make us crazy.' It is amazing that such a short book can contain so much wisdom.

It is filled with a lifetime's worth of practical advice and wisdom. Very well written and organized. Anyone could benefit from this book. I'm sure I will continue to reference it again and again.

    A Very Helpful Resource

I used this book as a tool along with some Spiritual Direction at a local Church in Boston. I found it very helpful. I regret that I gave away the copy that I had and hope to purchase a new copy soon.

    Nook Book Doesn't Work

The Nook Book version does not work, on any device. I try to read on my Nook, doesn't work. It just says, "Opening Book" and then returns to the Library page. I try to read on my computer through the Nook program, and it says I have to unlock the product using my Credit Card info I have on file with Barnes and Noble. When I do that, nothing happens and I am never able to unlock the product. On the Android app, it never never loads the book and goes back to the library page. Something is definitely wrong with this eBook.
