So everything is planned out to the last degree - from how to run her farm on a shoestring to how to survive a major earthquake.

Would have given five stars but thought there was too much graphic sex and bad language...I think the story could have been told much better without it...the F-bomb and GD coming out of the mouth--so many times--of someone who lived such a wholesome, down to earth, living off the land lifestyle just didn't make any sense. And it was an awesome story! If there had been a warning, I wouldn't have bought the book. And I loved the story so much I would have bought more from this author, but I just don't need to have the language floating through my head. Very disappointed. Review by CherishD

I've always been a huge fan of Rachael's writing.  I fell in love with her and her characters from the first moment I read the excerpt from How to Knit a Love Song sometime in 2010.  My love for her stories has not abated since then, but has grown with time.  Cora's Heart is another heart warming tale that will stay with you long after you've finished the last page. Cora is a woman I admire and would love to be myself.  She's resilient and independent.  She's prepared for everything but open to everyone.    I felt her pain while she watched her shed burn and most of her stock and livelihood burn with it. The thing I love most about Cora is her heart.  She loves fiercely and true. She has a strong sense of family and is willing to do what it takes to keep them safe and happy.  Mac was sort an enigma.  I got he and Cora had history, but I wasn't prepared for his fierceness, determination, and the depth of his love for Cora.  The two of them together simply made me happy and my heart sigh.  One of the things I loved about this book was how much I enjoyed reading it.  I didn't want it to end.  I love being in Cypress Hollow  and getting glimpses of some of my favorite characters from previous stories.  There were a number of revelations affecting many of the characters in the book.  I was left as shaken and devastated as they were after each one.  I felt like I was part of the story, each of Cora and Mac's highs were mu highs and their lows were my lows.  Rachael did a fantastic job with this book.  The long wait was well worth it.  Thankfully my wait for the next Cypress Hollow novel is very short.  Fiona's Flame is available.

Have to be careful of your so called friends advice. Listen to your own heart. Life will be so much easier.

This was a good story with some very nice writing. I disagree with people calling it too graphic...it seemed downright tame compared to many modern romances. I'll definitely read more from this author!

Liked the independent living, good characters. Other books in series too expensive to bother with, $1.99 prob most pay for this series

This was not a bad romance, it just had over the top sex and cursing. I can handle a curse word in an intense situation, but this author uses cursing as if it is a the native langauge. The sex is very graphic. Hot and steamy is fine, but there is point where hot and steamy becomes nasty. I liked the plot of this book. It was a little different. The hero was a bit of a wuss, the heroine, independent and as priclky as a cactus, of course both were gorgeous to the extreme. I liked the nice mother in law bit. None of the characters exhibited much maturity. - 3 stars for the cursing, sex and the heroine's attitude. + 1 star for the dog rescue and likable mother in law. + 1 star for a plot which has not been done to monotony. For adults. Chick lit. AD

Decent story but far too many pages of explicit sex for my taste.

A really good story. Best i have read lately. Still don't see why a writer feels grsphic sex scenes amd potty mouth language was neccessary.
