The two factions of the Corinthia Falls Church were all in place that Sunday morning. On the left were the "Standers," the charismatic group, almost always on their feet, hands raised, shouting amens and blessings. On the right were the "Setters," sitting stoically, giving an impression of deep disdain for their fellow parishioners to the left.
Deacon Johnson had just announced the opening hymn, "Nearer My God to Thee," when the young Sam boy, barefoot, shirtless, painted a devil red and with a deer head over his own, stormed into the church shouting, "Repent, repent, ye sinners, or ye will turn into a goat!" Accompanying him was, in fact, one billy goat... also doused in bright red paint. That Sunday morning in church there were four testimonials, five re-dedications and one conversion. But the Corinthia Falls Church would need a lot more shaking up than what the Sam boy and a red billy goat could provide. Then Colonel Pavlos Lincoln Armstrong came into town. A traveling evangelist and an former Green Beret, the mysterious man arrived dressed completely in black. His canine sidekick, Silas, was right by his side. The once dysfunctional Corinthia Falls congregation was about to change for good.

It is written with depth and details.The characters are engaging,believeable and will capture your heart. It has hope,faith,unity,bridging gaps,nurturing our youth,friends,a church divided,profound relationships,and a simpler life. Corinthia Falls Church is a church divided by worship styles and separated by their differences. Enter Colonel Pavlos Lincoln Armstrong (Paul),a former Green Beret,a traveling evangelist,wears black,is mysterious,and has a sidekick named Silas,at his side. With his leadership,encouragment,and guidance he will bring the Corinthia Falls Church faith,hope,love,and transform these people's lives. This is a wonderful story that will have you feeling the small town life.It is a story based on the biblical characters the Apostle Paul and Timothy and relates their lives to modern day life.

Small town USA at it's finest is in "Corinthia Falls." Come follow the story of the small town of Corinthia Falls. Oklahoma, as a group of young teens grow up together and their town and church come together with unity as a god-loving and caring community. With guidance from Colonel Pavlos, or Paul as called by friends, the townspeople come together from their separate factions and strive together to create an environment of care for those around them in need and for each other. This journey from the very beginning to the bittersweet end shows how having good friends, lots of faith, and a completely loving heart can create a most joyful life. This book was a complete wow for me! It made me laugh. It made me cry. It just makes you feel. I loved this author's writing style and story-telling! It is so genuine that I was still lookig to make sure none of these characters were real even when I had just finished the book. I live in a very small community and these type stories always sit very well with me and this one is definitely no exception. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Christian fiction with alot of heart. It is a must read!! This book was kindly provided to me by it's wonderful author for my honest review.

First it is extremely well written, you can feel it is definitely written from the author's heart. I felt a personal connection while reading it, at times feeling that the characters were actually reaching out to me. Troubled and confused about my faith and my church is exactly where I am at. I wish the characters from this book could descend right here to my local church and several others that seem to be losing their way. The United Methodist Church was built on mission, taking care of others and somehow I see that slipping away here.
It is a story of hope, bridging gaps, doing what it right for the many, not the few. In following the lives of the high school youth and nurturing them as was done in this story is the way to revitalize the churches. Supporting them in their entire life, gently pushing, finding opportunities, turning the bad into the good.
I have been deeply enriched by my trip to Corinthia Falls and know you would be too.

Just finished reading this great book. I simply couldn't put it down. Growing up in a small town myself, it brought back a lot of wonderful memories but... Corinthia Falls is far more than a book about small town America.. it's a book about what people can do when they pull together and are seeking the Lord's guidance in their lives. Corinthia Falls is truly inspirational... you'll laugh, cry, pull for the underdog, have an experience with a modern day Apostle Paul and a root for the "girl next door" romance ..but mostly you will be challenged to put your faith in motion. I highly recommend that you read Corinthia Falls. I'm hoping for a sequel soon!
