Overview

The Doctor Is Back.

In the quiet Corktown neighborhood of Detroit, a mutilated body has the residents nervous and for good reason. Detroit Metro Police recognize the handiwork of the serial killer known as the Doctor. But there's a problem with that. They locked him up seven years ago.

Because of her expertise with serial killers, former hotshot detective and now FBI agent, Abby Kane, is tasked with figuring out how this madman is able to kill again. When she visits The Doctor behind bars, he swears he's innocent and not the psychopath everyone thinks he is. Oddly enough, Abby believes him.

Corktown dives headfirst into the grit of Detroit, exposing the government corruption and deadly violence that has haunted the city for decades.

Meet the Author

Hello. My name is Ty Hutchinson.

I'm the author of the best selling Darby Stansfield novels. Readers have described them as Tarantino meets The Office with a splash of romance. I've also released Corktown, the first novel in my new series featuring FBI Agent, Abby Kane. I'm very excited about it. Before this whole author thing came up, I spent twenty-two years in advertising. I'm done with that.

When I’m not writing thrillers, you’ll find me traveling the world, playing video games, eating and reading, or watching HGTV. Yup, me likey the HGTV. Don't hate.

Another good book by Ty Hutchinson. Detroit has tried and convicted a man for a series of murders and has locked him away, but the brutal killings have started again. Abby Kane, FBI, is called in to catch who they claim to be a copy-cat killer. When she visits the convicted killer in prison, he claims his innocence. The problem is that she believes him. Why the cover up? How high does it go? How will she catch the real killer if the local authorities are working to cover up the past? Corktown is a thrilling ride, filled with great characters and non-stop action.

    unnecessarily pornographic

Glib hip writing is no excuse for explicit pornographic dialogue in the story. The lady cop exchanging suggestive comments with the evil killer in prison before she finally goes at him agressively.
If I wanted to read pornography that's what I would have purchased. S&M and sex toys starting off the first murder should
give you a clue. I would have given it zero stars but the program won't let me do that

    Good read!

Being from Michigan I was interested in reading this book just for the fact its based here. Turned out to be a good read, I read it in one day. Brings in some of the corruption that thecity of Detroit has been dealing and shows what can happen when a mayor answers no one.
