My mother discovered this book in a relative's attic, a lovely illustrated hardcover edition. Although it seems that little bit here and there was lost in translation, the story was unique and inspiring, very uplifting. Whenever I put it down, I left with a smile on my face. Cornelli is delightful.

This children's book was written by the author of Heidi. Cornelli is a sympathetic girl whose view of herself is based on a misunderstanding of a comment made to her by a nasty adult. Everything about this book is wonderful. It was one of my mother's favorites when she was a child, it was one of my favorites when I was a child, and it is still one of my favorite children's books-at 30 years of age. I plan to read it to my daughter, and hope that it becomes a favorite of hers. I hope it is reprinted some day, so more people can enjoy it.Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
