Born in San Antonio, Texas, Linda Turner and her identical twin sister, Brenda, were known throughout the neighborhood in which they grew up simply as "Twin."

No one except their parents and their older brother could tell them apart. They dressed alike, wore their hair alike, and even had the same glasses, so it wasn't surprising that they were stared at everywhere they went.

Consequently, when Linda announced at the age of 25 that she was going to start writing romance novels, she wasn't surprised when Brenda said, "I don't care how famous your name gets, just make sure your face doesn't become recognizable!"

Needless to say, Linda's face isn't known in every household in the U.S.—yet. Recently, she spent six weeks taking screenwriting classes at the American Film Institute in Los Angeles, and she's made no secret of the fact that she plans to write and—hopefully—sell a screenplay in the new millennium.

And her ambitions don't stop there. She already has her dress for the Oscars.

Ingrid Weaver believes that romance novels are like the country music of popular fiction. People readily relate to the themes and emotions of a romance story in the same way they enjoy the honest, down-to-earth sentiments of a country song. And while romances are always entertaining, a good story, like good music, has quality and depth that touch the heart.

Born and raised in Southern Ontario, Canada, Ingrid's first career ambition was to be a mad scientist...or an astronaut or a spy. When she discovered that she could do all those things through books, her path took another turn entirely.

She earned a degree in English Literature and, after working as a high school teacher in Northern Quebec and then raising three children, she finally combined her lifelong love of reading with her English degree to pursue a career in writing.

Since the publication of her first novel in 1994, Ingrid's books have reached the Waldenbooks and the U.S.A. Today bestseller lists. In 1998, she was presented with the Romance Writers of America prestigious RITA Award for Romantic Suspense. She currently resides near Toronto, where she is at work on her next book.

Julie attributes her passion for writing romance to all those fairy tales she read growing up, and shyness. Encouragement from her family to write down those feelings she couldn't express became a love for the written word. She gets continued support from her fellow members of the Prairieland Romance Writers, where she serves as the resident "grammar goddess."

This award-winning author and teacher has published several paranormal romances in addition to her beloved romantic suspense. Inspired by the likes of Agatha Christie and Encyclopedia Brown, Julie believes that the only thing better than a good mystery is a good romance.

Born and raised in Missouri, she now lives in Nebraska with her husband, son, and smiling guard dog, Maxie.
