Meet the Author

Beverly Farr has been writing books since the second grade when she declared herself an author. She lives in Texas with her tall, dark, and handsome husband, three children and a grumpy cat. “Happily-ever-after is my drug of choice. Not that I won’t read or watch a sad story (now and then), but I crave happy endings. I love Jane Austen, Cinderella stories, and 1930s screwball comedies. (Think An AFFAIR TO REMEMBER or WHILE YOU WERE SLEEPING). Since real life has a way of being tough enough, I write sweet, quirky contemporary romances to take the edge off. What you will find in my stories: 1. Sweet quirky romance. 2. Very little swearing. There may be an occasional hell or damn, maybe even a b*tch, but there will be no Lord’s name in vain and no f-bombs. 3. No explicit sex scenes. Characters might discuss sex, but any love scenes are off screen (Think AFRICAN QUEEN). 4. No vampires. At least, not yet.”

Enjoyed this book, it was sweet and sad but with a good ending. About 130 pages. Will contiue with the next in this series.

While the plot line followed the standard "marry, distrust, fall in love" format, we were introduced to a new kind of hero. The male lead demonstrated patience, careful, clear rationale, and kindness of spirit.

For me it started a little slow and iffy but quickly got rolling! I have laughed, cried and been horrified and just plain enthralled with this story! Fabulous story telling and character relating. I have very much enjoyed this book! I will immediatley look for the next ones in the series and purchase them!

Not a cliffhanger! What happens to women after an abusive relationship? Can they find a healthy commitment? This story reveals the trauma of abuse and the healing of a good man... I would suggest that this is a great book with a well developed storyline to my frirnds and family.

I was pleasantly surprised. It's a short book but author is remarkably able to fill in all info with minimal words and no useless fillers. The last chapter had me slapping my forhead with why didn't I think of that!

Usually you find the man seeking a marriage of convenience to save his business. It was a nice change to see a woman in charge trying to save the family business. Marriage to save it , well this is fantasy and a sweet fast paced love story that I enjoyed.
