A Short Story to leave you thinking

Short stories usually seem to be underdeveloped, with characters that are not well-rounded and a good concept somewhat incomplete. Perhaps that is due to the format. That being said, this is interesting and will leave you thinking. I think it is worth the read - after all, a short story will take little of your time.

The thing about the Nook and the free material - it introduces readers to a variety of reading. I did read short stories once in a while before the Nook, but not recently as few magazines published them and not many other venues tended to them, either. Now, for a quick read, I can pick up the Nook and scroll through my library and find short. I like that. I'm now reading a longer work with several short stories. A book I'd have been unlikely to choose before I had the Nook. Yah, I'm a Nook fan!

    Highly Recommended

A good read. It went from creepy to being a sweet story.

    Dislike

I really dislike this authors books. They grab ahold of me, spark my interest, get me involved and then they just get weird and the endings suck. This and Within had potential but both just fall apart and turn into nonsense.

    Good ending

One of the better endings I've ever read on a short story.

    Okay

Good writing and characters but the storyline was a little bland. Not something to make you think. More of a "feel good" story.

    Not scary but still amazing

The twist and turns of Scribner's short stories are like no other. Sometimes they freak you out. Other times, like in this story, they don't, but either way, you're amazed.

    How?

How could anyone say this authors work is the best they've ever read? Seriously? You need to expand your library and read some real authors. This is trash. Thoroughly undeveloped, characters that don't make sense, and no storyline wrap up. Horrible story.

    Joshua Scribner

I enjoy this author's work. It's not always great but usually it's free and entertaining. This story was good, tough not one of his best.
