Cosmic Journeys: My Out-of-Body Explorations with Robert A. Monroe

Overview

Explorers are known for the journeys they take, Rosie McKnight explored the vast nonphysical dimensions of consciousness. With famed out-of-body researcher Robert Monroe, she helped to further the understanding of human consciousness, and to demonstrate beyond doubt that we are more than our physical bodies.

Many of these pioneering sessions are presented here almost word for word, as they were taped, along with her warm and inspiring observations of Bob Monroe and the early days of The Monroe Institute (TMI).

Here are explorations of non-human energy systems, interactions with highly evolved beings, concepts about the makeup of the many levels of the universe, views of the afterlife and the animal dimensions, the nature of healing and guidance, a look at the future, and much more. Here is the pursuit of the true meaning of science fearlessly mapping wherever the inquisitive mind takes us.

Through the courage of Rosie McKnight and other explorers at TMI, we are given, as Laurie Monroe writes in her introduction, "a clarity of perception and a sense of the greatness that is beyond our everyday life."

This book will blow your mind. A lot of the concepts and ideas

This book will blow your mind. A lot of the concepts and ideas in the book go into quite a bit of depth and honestly can be a little much at times for the human brain to comprehend. But I do believe that one can learn a lot from the book and use it as a guide on how to live his or her life.

    I met the author

The book is as fascinating as Rosalind. I have enjoyed asking her first hand about her experiences and the book does her mind blowing stories justice.

    Highly recommended for those ready

It¿s important to realise that a book review says more things about the reviewer than the book itself. Objects and events (the perception of) are meant to serve as (our own individual) assessment of reality. INNER OR OUTER ?. THEIRS OR MINE?. Ain¿t matter. It¿s the same. Both are needed though as a feedback system. In this light, a book, as everything else in life, is a mirror. It reflects something about us. If we happened to read a specific book, then we channeled, through that specific author, a chapter of our story that we decided to play. If we read it, it means that we were ready to deal with that aspect of ourselves. We may or may not like what we find. We may or may not believe it. And, depending on the outcome, we may choose to go on and face it. If not, it¿ll come back, eventually, in another form. Cosmic journeys are candid and real, transparent and truthful,¿,simple. At times it appears somewhat colored: it is not the author¿s colors but mine. Other times it appears too far-fetched: it is not the author¿s fault but my refusal to stretch my mind. ET¿s, earth consciousness and the like are touchy but wonderful subjects. Fantasy and imagination are not more real or unreal for that matter, than we are. Wait, is life a `MIND¿ game ?: it literally is. Life is an interactive system in which we learn rules and play games, whether we want it or not. Some people do it consciously. Most without being aware. In this book you will find wonderful stories of someone who¿s learned the rules and has been out there by means of the x-t machine: the mind. IS IT FANTASY ?. Try it, but it¿ll take guts to find yourself in another form, place and time. IS IT REAL ?. Try it, consistently, and if it affects the physical around you, you¿ll know for sure. I don¿t recommend the book as it recommends itself to those people ready to deal with another aspect of themselves. I enjoyed the book very much. I am ready.

My Out-of-Body Explorations with Robert A. Monroe

Hi, as the author of Cosmic Journeys, I want to thank you for your interest in reading the reviews of my book. People ask me how long it took to write Cosmic Journeys. I always say 29 years, because the book started writing itself back in the early '70s, when I began doing research with the late Robert A. Monroe. Bob started research into sleep learning using a sound technique while he lived in NYC. Being his own research subject, after experiencing his newly-developed sound system, he suddenly found himself catapulted out of his body. He had many out-of-body experiences thereafter. These experiences are recorded in his classic book, Journeys Out of the Body, published in 1971. I first met Bob when he was just setting up his Mind Research Institute in Afton, VA. The day we met, he took me to his laboratory and hooked me up in a CHEC Unit, a controlled chamber with no outside interference. I soon became one among many research subjects known as Explorers. The purpose of his research at the time was to use different levels of sound to see how it affected the research subjects. This sound actually creates a separate brainwave pattern that balances both sides of the brain simultaneously and puts people into various states of consciousness. Bob's original experiments led him into research into brain frequencies which is now called Hemi-Sync or hemispheric synchronization. No one was more surprised than Bob at the outcome of the Explorer research. Patterns began to develop among his Explorers. First, every subject became aware of a guiding force with them. Some heard a voice behind or around them. Others had the feeling of an imminent presence. Still others would see light beings assisting their journeys, just as I did. Secondly, all the subjects began to find themselves in other levels of reality and often ran into entities not of this world. Bob, being an excellent monitor, asked questions of the entities that often spoke through the energies of the Explorers or would query the Explorers as they described certain adventures. The material in Cosmic Journeys has never before been published. The major part of the book is made up of our laboratory dialogues. I traveled to the moon, into earth consciousness, onto a UFO, into the afterlife, to an animal dimension, to a universe of higher light energies, as well as into lower dimensions and even into the future -- to the year 3000. I worked with Bob over a period of eleven years and all of our sessions were recorded. When Bob took his final out-of-body journey in 1995, after completing his third book, Ultimate Journey, I realized that I needed to take the experiences off the tapes and put them into written form -- thus the birth of Cosmic Journeys. It was published in January, 1999. After thousands of copies have been sold, the book is now in the process of being translated into foreign languages for publication. So, there you have it. It's now in your hands...(The book I hope!) The rest is up to you. It reads like science fiction, so you don't have to believe it to enjoy it. However, I now know beyond a doubt that I am more than my physical body! Enjoy YOUR journey...
