This book was given to me by the publisher for an honest review

This book was given to me by the publisher for an honest review and was
not purchased through Barnes and Noble. Megan is an assistant at a
finance firm. She goes out to one of her local hang outs with her friend
and sees the CEO of her company there. He happens to be with a mob boss
and Megan wonders if the rumors about him being mob-connected are true.
She heads out, hoping that her boss doesn't spot her. Megan works late
one evening and gets a call from the CEO, Christopher. He tells her to
see him in her office and he accuses her of leaking a story to the press
about his mob connection. Of course, Megan had nothing to do with
"said story" and she tells that to Christopher. One thing
leads to another and they have a steamy, passionate romp right there in
his office. Megan was telling the truth when she said she didn't leak
the story about his mob connections, but that didn't stop her from doing
some digging to write a new piece on the allegations. While working on
the piece, she gets a text from Christopher. He comes by her apartment
and they have another hot sex session. After Christopher leaves, she
realizes that he saw her article on him and he deleted the entire
content. I wont go any further considering it is a short story. I was
really excited when I was contacted to review this story. I'm a huge fan
of Cosmopolitan magazine and my favorite part is the stories in the back
of the magazine. I read the first few chapters of this one a few months
ago, but my TBR list is massive and I simply forgot to follow up on it.
I have never read Fifty Shades of Grey, but I can see where there would
be some similarities. Christopher is very dominant when it comes to the
sex scenes in the book. He tells Megan how he wants it, and it's
frickin' hot! The book was also a bit of a thriller. I didn't know what
to expect and I was a bit shocked with the outcome. I enjoyed this the
first time around and I am stoked to have finished it. If you want a
quick, sexy read, this book is definitely worth it!

A very short and fun look into the world of Megan and Christopher. At times I felt that their was information missing which is probably because this is a short portion of a continuing series in the magazine.

Christopher was very hot and liked it hard and fast with a little bit of bondage. Megan was always hot and ready for Christopher. The relationship between Megan and Christopher is more of a cliché relationship in that Megan is the lowly assistant to someone in the company that Christopher is the CEO of. I loved Megan as a character in that she has all the characteristics that I enjoy in my female characters. She is a bit of a bull buster, she stands up for herself, she’s spunky and very sassy.

I would be interested in finding out what happens next. I like the concept of reading a book a few chapters at a time because you need to wait till the next month’s magazine has to come out so you can read it. It reminds me of Charles Dickens and how he first published his novels.

It's no secret that Fifty Shades of Grey has become a huge phenomenon and now it seems that Cosmo has joined the bandwagon with this short story featuring a rather domineering male lead. The handsome and intimidating CEO Christopher Reiss may or may not have some mob connections and when Meghan finds out about it, she just knows there's a story in the works. However, Meghan and Christopher and extremely attracted to each other so she must decide whether or not to run the story that might ruin his reputation or does she let it go for him?

This book was only thirty pages so if you're looking for actual substance and well-developed characters, I'd suggest you check out another book. Perhaps a romance novel....However, if you're just looking for a quick and sexy read then this might be the book for you.
