A very good book to begin understanding how CE (but also CB) works. There are many applied and useful examples (on education and health) but to have a better and deeper idea on described techniques you have to check other specialized literature. However, it is well written and gives a very good starting point in this area. Strongly recommended.

This is an excellent book on the methods and applications of cost-effectiveness analysis. The book is very lucid in its presentation, is filled with useful examples based on actual situations and analyses, enhances readers' understanding of the subject through succinct feedback to exercises, and provides an extensive bibliography of cost studies in education. It is highly recommended to readers who are interested in making informed decisions regarding more efficient utilization of resources and who are seeking an easy-to-read basic book to learn and apply the eseential tools of cost-effectiveness analysis. It should be a required reading for students in evaluation programs in education and other fields.
