Cottage style isn't fussy or pretentious, but it is inviting and imaginative. It's filled with wonderful touches that recall treasured memories or evoke inspirations of places not yet seen. Cottage style is also easygoing and down-to-earth: Finds from the attic and the local flea market may be a bit timeworn, but that just adds to their charm.
In this book, you'll see a wide range of rooms that illustrate the easygoing elegance and spontaneous charm of cottage style. Room by room, learn how the most popular inspirations translate into decorating themes that make everyday living a delight.

I bought this book at Barnes & Noble because the photography is so beautiful. The Maine Cottage Wicker Furniture shown has been featured in Metropolitan Home, Restoration Style and HOME magazines and is truly beautiful. The Shabby Chic by Rachel Aswell furniture is beautifully slipcovered and adds to the cottage charm. From "English Country" to "Seaside Chic" to "Mountain Cabin Eclectic" the Cottage Style in America is a return to casually elegant decor.
