Overview

Sweet Historical Romance -- Novella

West Texas, October, 1898

Sarah Dawson believes she’s plain. Even her fiancé says so.

Handsome rancher Austin Kendrick thinks she’s kind, loving, beautiful—and the woman he wants to marry. How can he convince her that she is worthy of his love?

Sarah’s fiancé is waiting in Dallas, and she’s been raised to keep her commitments. But are there times when it is more honorable to break a promise than to keep one? Especially when her happiness—and Austin’s—is at stake?

Previously published in the anthology, Harvest Hearts, by Sharon Harlow.

Meet the Author

Sharon Gillenwater's first novel was released in 1988 by Dorchester. Since then, she has written for Berkley (Sharon Gillenwater and Sharon Harlow), Harlequin Historicals (Sharon Harlow) and in the Christian market for Multnomah, Steeple Hill, Love Inspired, and Revell.

The Callahans of Texas is her latest series from Revell.

Sharon is busy publishing her numerous out of print titles as e-books. Currently available are Cotton Pickin' Cowboy, Standing Tall, Love Song, Texas Treasure (formerly titled Antiques) and Texas Tender. More to come!

The majority of her books are set in small West Texas towns, similar to the farming and ranching community where she grew up, although she has also published six English/Scottish historical romances.
