Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature
The opening page is great. It shows a picture and asks a question, "Do you see something hiding in the grass?" Turn the page and there is a rabbit with its white fluffy tail. The short but engaging teXt describes cottontail rabbit characteristics such as its long ears, strong tail, communication techniques, its home and offspring. The pictures are very good. The closing pages provide a map to show the places where cottontails live and a diagram with labels for the body parts. There is a glossary and an activity entitled "Hunt and Find" that can also serve as an indeX. The closing page has a brief description about the author. Another winning entry in the "PullAhead" series. 2001, Lerner, $21.27 and $6.95. Ages 5 to 7. Reviewer: Marilyn Courtot <%ISBN%> 082253617X
