The 25 songs on this Sony compilation are more than enough selections to tell the complete story of the Partridge Family with plenty of room for David Cassidy's solo material, but the focus is on David Cassidy and, as such, his solo career gets the spotlight. Although seven of the Partridge Family's hits are here, there are several missing, and their television theme, "Come on Get Happy," is a notable absence. Cassidy's material includes all of his early-'70s hits -- "Cherish," "Could It Be Forever," "How Can I Be Sure," "Rock Me Baby" -- along with a few other worthy recordings (like "I Write the Songs," a hit in Europe) and a few interesting covers (Harry Nilsson's "The ...
