Meet the Author

After trying her hand at a variety of careers: retail sales, insurance underwriter, video store owner, home day care provider, and motherhood, Elysa Hendricks, a longtime reader of romance, sat down to write a short contemporary romance. When her heroine turned out to be a winged, telepathic alien, Elysa decided she enjoyed writing stories set in different places and times.

So she returned to her first love and wrote a series of fantasy romances. GEMINI MOON, CRYSTAL MOON, SHADOW MOON and FORBIDDEN MOON are available from ImaJinn Books. She has three books published with Dorchester Publishing, STAR CRASH a sexy/sci-fi/adventure romance that she calls her Star Trek meets Planet of the Apes book, THE SWORD AND THE PEN a contemporary fantasy that combines Zenia, The Warrior Princess with Stranger Than Fiction and her latest release STAR RAIDERS another futuristic set in the same universe as STAR CRASH.

While living in north east Illinois she helped found the Windy City Chapter and the Futuristic, Fantasy & Paranormal Chapters of Romance Writers of America and taught workshops on writing at writer’s conferences and at local community colleges. Recently relocated to central Ohio she’s happy to be part of the Central Ohio Fiction Writer family. Someday she dreams of writing on a laptop while sitting on a tropical beach. In the meantime she keeps warms during Ohio’s chilly winters by creating sizzling love scenes.

    Counterfeit Delight

    Elysa Hendricks creates a delightfully sweet love story in Counterfeit Love. As a private investigator, Maggie McCade infiltrates a small town high school to find a computer hacker for the local soft ware company. In the process of ferreting out the culprit she encounters Jared, the hunky math teacher. Torn between the magnetism of their attraction and her job, she sets out to prove his innocence only to find damning evidence on his home computer. Twists and turns abound as Mad Maggie winds her way into the heart of Jared and his little girl.
    Counterfeit Love is a real page turner, it was really hard to put down as Ms. Hendricks creates a beautifully descriptive and romantic love story.
