Although the book focuses on counterinsurgency, the lessons are also relevant to counterterrorism and counter-gang efforts. Main point: support of the population is key to victory - and it must be sustained over the long-term to prevent recurrence.

The book should be required reading for anyone in management or leadership positions in organizations concerned with these topics.
