Counting 1 to 10

Counting 1 to 10

Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Marilyn Courtot
Crisp white pages feature things to count and most of them will be familiar to the intended age group. There is one teddy bear, four kittens, six toy trucks, eight apples, and ten strawberries. The numbers are presented in Arabic form and in text. When toddlers get to the end, they are urged to go back and count from 1 to 10 again. The numbers and objects featured are also reprised on these pages. There is a box that contains "Rookie Storytime Tips" and in this case it recommends that toddlers point to and say each numeral and then count the number of items featured on the page. It is a straightforward method of learning to count and caregivers and parents can make a game of it. There is nothing particularly special about this board book. Part of the "Rookie Toddler" series.
