For every fan of Country Music

The Carter Family is perhaps the most important musical family in American history. Their recordings, in every practical sense, created the Country Music industry (if not the modern Recording industry as a whole). Their songs, their lyrics, are amazing in their content and performance. Any song writer would benefit tremendously by being exposed to these songs. This very affordable four disk set is a true gift to any fan of Country Music or Roots Music. But if you're a true fan, with lots and lots of money to spend, then you ought to get the definitive 12 CD box set titled: "In the Shadow of Clinch Mountain" from the Bear Family Company (available on this Barnes and Nobel site).
