Overview

Over one million readers have fallen in love with Ava’s bestselling Dare Valley and Dare River series…come join the family.

Chosen as Best Book of the Year and Best Hero of the Year* alongside books by Kristan Higgins and Suzanne Brockmann.

USA Today Bestselling Author Ava Miles of the #1 National Bestseller NORA ROBERTS LAND presents the Dare River series, connected to her bestselling Dare Valley series. For fans who like the family dynamics of the Sullivans by Bella Andre, the small town charm of Cedar Cove by Debbie Macomber, and the sweet romance of Fool's Gold by Susan Mallery.

When famous—and infamous—country singer Rye Crenshaw saunters into the diner where she cooks, Tory Simmons is certain she’s got him pegged. He’s a bad boy who indulges himself in all things, women included. But while she couldn’t care less about country music or arrogant men, Rye makes her an offer she can’t refuse when he asks her to be his private chef on his multi-city concert tour. The job is the answer to all her prayers: it will clear out her debt and finance the fresh start she desperately needs.

Rye is certain his sassy new cook is the last woman who’d ever tempt him, but spending time with the wholesome girl next door will do wonders for his damaged public image, whether she likes being forced into the spotlight or not. Her food also happens to be the best he’s ever eaten, both comforting and seductive. But spending time with Tory on the road shows him a new side to her—one that’s as impossible to resist as her food. And when an emergency in his family whisks him home, he does the one thing he’s never risked: he lets a woman into his heart…

Soon the emotions Rye faked for the tabloids become all too real, but will the country heaven he’s found in Tory’s arms survive in the real world?

Wow...family dysfunction at its finest in this one. Sad, but redeeming story of love and forgiveness. I ENJOYED this one. 290 pages on my nook.

I like the book, nice easy romance story. Love the two main characters, Rye and Dory and all the secondary characters. Held my attention throughout the book. Enjoyed the added recipes at the end of each chapter some of which I will be trying. First time reading this author and enjoyed enough to purchase the next book. JudyE

Very good book. I could not wait to get through it. The "pornographic" scenes were no worse than what are frequently seen in today's romance novels. I definitely would recommend it.

I usually don't write reviews, but this was an exception, this book is amazing. Just stop reading reviews and just read the book already.:)

I started with this book and have read all 3 now! The power of romance (of course) love, forgiveness and domestic violence! I had to put down the book a few times to dry my tears and blow my nose! A must read!

A Story that Warms the Heart and Soul COUNTRY HEAVEN, although the first I’ve read from Ava Miles, will not be my last. This story of love and healing for both Tory and Rye was a wonderful introduction to the Dare family. The loss of Tory’s grandmother leaves her alone in the world with no family to call her own. Rather than focusing solely on her education, financial worries hang over her like a dark cloud, and she has no idea how she’s going to survive. Rye’s reputation as a country bad boy does nothing to dissuade the public from adoring the country singer. Alienated by his family for choosing a life in country music over following family tradition, his songs reflect the shallow image of the life he’s chosen, and he sees no need to change for anyone. As fate would have it, Tory and Rye are thrust together when Rye sneaks away after a concert to find comfort in his favorite vice -- food. Tory’s talent in the kitchen leads him to offer her a spot on his tour as his personal chef. Despite the obvious attraction, neither are prepared for the realization that the attraction is far more than physical. You can’t help but root for Tory and Rye as they both find healing in more ways than just learning to love unconditionally. Tory’s open heart puts her in a unique position to not only to have a positive effect on Rye but his family as well. Rye’s entire world is turned upside down, but Tory will find the way to this man’s heart is not only through his stomach but maybe his family too. Ava created a world you can easily step into and characters you’d love to know. I’m so excited to read more about not only Dare River, but the entire Dare community!

Absolutely loved it! Found myself starting this book one evening and staying up all night to finish it. Well written. I knew from the start Rye would be perfect for her. I think I've found another favorite author! Can't wait to read another.

I did not care for Rye and his entire group of people. They seemed to be so selfish with their own agenda. But funny how you can come to the wrong conclusion. They all changed and Tori seemed to be exactly what was needed.

This was one of those free books that I grabbed from Amazon because it sounded really cute and fun. And that definitely held true. I loved reading about Rye and Tory and I loved their meet-cute. Even though Rye's manager(s) wanted Tory along for an image reason, Rye really wanted to spend time with her and thoroughly enjoyed her cooking. It was interesting to see how they made each other better in everyday life and when Rye's family needs him, Tory is right there to help. I'm really interested in reading the other books in this series; I think there's a lot of potential here for a great series!
