Editorial Reviews

Library Journal
Spier (editor, Curtains, Draperies & Shades) portrays an abundance of window coverings to complement formal and casual country interiors. The first section begins with color photographs of a variety of window treatments—including curtains and draperies, shades and blinds, valances and swags, and shutters—accompanied by practical advice for estimating yardage, determining appropriate hardware, and cleaning. The remainder of the book presents various window coverings in bedrooms, bathrooms, living rooms, dining rooms, and kitchens. Although no projects or instructions are given (consider Chris Jefferys's Quick Curtains for that), this book will be attractive to those interested in window treatments for country decor.
