Editorial Reviews

Library Journal

Waggoner (Classic Household Hints: Over 500 Old and New Tips for a Happier Home) has compiled more of a guide to simplifying household chores than a decorating book. Advice is given on controlling clutter, cleaning house, doing laundry, cooking and baking, gardening, and using "green" ideas in the home.

What an amazing collection of helpful hints and wisdom. I bought this book after briefly reviewing it on the web pages and have found it to be one of the best purchases I have made all year! Everytime I pick it up, I learn something new. In addition to being a great resource, it has found its way to my coffee table as light reading for guests. I never fail to get compliments on how wonderful it is and that my guests have learned something they never knew. The illustration and pictures are beautiful, with some you feel as if you are right in the room. The book is a great value not only for its timeless tips but also for its ability to start a conversation and sharing among friends.

I bought this book because it is from County Living Magazine & I am a long time subscriber & fan the the magazine. It is an easy to use, fun & informative read. Plus brings back memories for things my mom & grandmothers did & said. I also bought one as a gift for my sister.

The book content is great and the photos are great! i like the ABC order. It's helpful to go back and reference. As with many eBooks, sometimes the pictures and the words are not on the same page which is weird sometimes when I'm trying to read about a picture.
